The global outbreak of COVID-19 since late 2019 has had a profound impact on health, human rights, economies, cultures, societies, and education across the world, including in Taiwan. The challenges faced by nursing professionals, who represent the largest group within the healthcare system, have had far-reaching effects on the well-being of healthcare staff, nursing education in academic and clinical settings, and more.

With almost four years having passed in preparation, response, and recovery from COVID-19, nursing professionals are now poised to reflect on their pandemic experiences. This introspection is set to enhance the ongoing evolution of nursing roles and functions, fostering increased resilience as the profession enters the post-pandemic era on an international scale. This theme holds significance as Taiwan’s nursing community addresses both local and global public health challenges.

This international seminar aims to gather industry leaders, government officials, academic experts, international scholars, and other professionals to explore the ramifications of COVID-19. By exchanging ideas and developing common ground, the objective is to establish a more sustainable and resilient nursing profession that can efficiently tackle future health challenges in the post-pandemic world.
